Preston Hollow Presbyterian School
Two existing office buildings were thoughtfully transformed into a modern school for neurodiverse learners, with a new tornado shelter integrated into the campus design. Delivered on an accelerated schedule, the project was completed in time for students to begin the 2025 school year.
This transformative project repurposed two existing office buildings into a thoughtfully designed educational campus tailored to the needs of children with neurodiverse learning styles. The redevelopment included comprehensive renovations to create engaging, supportive learning environments, as well as the addition of a code-required tornado shelter designed to protect students, staff, and visitors during severe weather events.
The intentional use of calming colors throughout the campus serves both an aesthetic and functional purpose, supporting wayfinding and helping students feel comfortable as they navigate the space. The design focused on creating a welcoming and calming environment while incorporating creative elements that inspire engagement, encourage student participation, and enhance the overall learning experience.
Delivered on an accelerated timeline, the project progressed from design through construction in less than one year. Close collaboration between the design and construction teams enabled rapid decision-making and seamless execution while maintaining a strong focus on safety, functionality, and student success. The result is a vibrant, purpose-built campus that provides a welcoming environment where students can learn, grow, and thrive, completed just in time for the start of the 2025 school year.
